This very special ladies wrist watch is a lovely example of offerings by the well respected Swiss watchmaker, Piaget. Released into the world market during an approximately twenty year period in the Mid-20th Century, these rare and unique timepieces were offered in many designs incorporating 18K gold, diamonds, and with dials of a variety of interesting and colorful colored stones. Almost no other timepieces have stood the test of time with no diminution of desire to possess them by a covetous public. This particular piece has a horizontal oval case with black onyx dial surrounded by fine quality brilliant cut diamonds. The original movement is mechanical Piaget. The Piaget band is an elegant 18K gold woven and very slightly tapering component that terminates with a matching inline clasp. Case measures 27mm in width by 24 mm in height and is only 4.75mm thick. Case back is stamped with Swiss gold assay mark as well as the model number and serial number. Inside the clasp is stamped 750 and Piaget. The outside of the clasp bears the Piaget logo. Gross weight 70.4 grams.
