This artistic and extremely well crafted 18K yellow gold, vintage butane lighter was imagined and created by the venerated house of Frascarolo in Verona Italy, at some point around the middle of the last century. It's excellent condition is a testament to the love and respect with which it has been handled during all of the intervening years. The lighter was recently serviced and functions beautifully. It is made of 18K gold, covered almost entirely with cobalt blue enamel punctuated by white spots. Ruby eyes and diamond whiskers complete this fanciful leopard motif lighter. From the base to the top of the head, it measures a full 3 1/2 inches and the diameter is in excess of 3/4 of an inch. A raised cartouche inside the lid identifies the maker, is stamped 750 (designating 18K), the words Modele Depose, and Made In Italy. A packet of six S.J. Dupont flints, which are still produced, will accompany this jewel when shipped. Gross weight 110.76 grams
