This antique 55mm hunters case 18K gold minute repeater pocket watch, was crafted by venerated Swiss watchmaker, William Schochlin during the late 1800's. The high grade and entirely handmade 30 jewel movement is housed in a heavy gauge and intricately hand engraved case with inner dust cover. Front and rear covers are also beautifully hand engraved with rich foliate designs. The space provided for a monogram has never been engraved. This timepiece keeps excellent time and chimes the hours and minutes clearly. Front and rear covers as well as dust cover bear the unique serial number #2171 , K18 and a five digit case number. The ornate Roman Numeral dial* is edged entirely by a foliate wreath. The center is an abundant floral bouquet. All floral details are crafted in fine gold.
Hand engraved on the inner dust cover is a complete recitation regarding the maker as well as all details of the movement. Gross weight 151.21 grams.
