This exquisitely fashioned and deftly crafted pair of vintage Tiffany & Co. earrings, designed by Paloma Picasso, are as versatile as they are inspired. All forward surfaces are finely hammered, matte finish, 18K yellow gold. The pair can be worn with simply the top by itself or with it's detachable bottom. Clip backs can be worn with the Tiffany & Co. fold down posts or without them. Measures 1 1/2 inches long (with the bottom hoop attached) by 3/4 inch wide. A raised 18K gold plate on the inside of each earring is inscribed Tiffany & Co., Paloma Picasso, Italy, 750 (for 18k gold), Italy and 1989, indicating the year that the pair were introduced into the market.
