The entire surface is double Florentine finished allowing the bracelet to shimmer and scintillate when worn. It is hinged on one side for ease of use. It has a figure eight safety in addition to a very secure inline plunger clasp. The plunger is stamped 14K* and B.B., presumably for the maker. The bracelet measures just under 3/4 inch at the widest point in the front and tapers down to approximately 1/4 inch at the rear. The
inside circumference measures 6 3/4 inches. Gross weight 23.12 grams.
* This bracelet is stamped 14K, but "XRF Testing" determines that the actual gold content is 13K. At the time that it was produced, this kind of discrepancy was common due to the inability of manufacturers to accurately assay gold. Gold assay technology today yields consistently accurate results.
