This is a wonderful European foliate motif Art-Deco period platinum brooch. Faceted blue sapphires mingle with cabochon rubies, carved emeralds. black onyx accents, and European Cut diamonds, to create a look that was very much in vogue when the item was crafted, perhaps as long as 100 years ago. A total of approximately sixty diamonds are set into the stems and the vase. The diamonds weigh an approximate .75ct total with an overall quality of H color and SI1/SI2 clarity. The brooch measures a full 1 3/4 inches long by just over 3/4 inch wide. A partially obscure European hallmark is stamped onto a side wall. The 18K yellow gold pin secured by a swivel clasp assuring worry free wear. Gross weight 9.30 grams.
