This striking vintage Dunay gold and diamond brooch evokes images of the Greek Parthenon or perhaps the ancient Roman Forum. It is large, measuring in excess of 2 inches long by 1.14 inches wide. It is very dimensional with bold columns and roof structure with a diamond set base of jagged rocks. Total approximate diamond weight is 1.15ct of overall F/G color and VS1 clarity. The brooch is secured to garments by means of a double pin and plunger style barrel clasp. Stamped on plates on the rear is DUNAY, 18k with copyright mark, and 750 with obscure makers mark. Gross weight 24.40 grams.
