This compact, 18K yellow gold, Van Cleef and Arpels travel clock is a unique piece of vintage luxury. At its heart is a Movado Ermetophon alarm movement inside the exquisitely crafted, gold basket weave case. The dial has stick markers except for the twelve o'clock and six o'clock positions. It is equipped with a gold "kickstand" for keeping it upright on a nightstand. There are two crowns on the top; one crown is for setting the time of day, and the second crown, marked with red, is used for setting the wake up time. It coincides with the red hand on the dial indicating the time the alarm is set for. The movement is wound by opening and closing the device to power it. The back of the clock is marked with Movado's reference numbers, as well as a patent number. The inside wall of one of the case halves is marked Van Cleef & Arpels NY, with the model number B S O 75 and 18K. Gross weight 110.25 grams
