Mid-20th Century Burmese Ruby and Diamond Cocktail Ring by Oscar Heyman Brothers
Creations by Oscar Heyman Brothers have been gracing fortunate women ever since their opening in New York City in 1912. This particular platinum ring, brought to market in 1949, embodies the company's characteristic fine execution of original designs. The natural 1.86ct Burmese ruby in the center has been certified by the Gemological Institute of America to be absent of any treatment or enhancement. Surrounding this rare gem are a total of 44 fine quality European cut, tapered baguette and straight baguette diamonds, accented by 14 calibre cut rubies across the top and bottom. In all, the total weight of the 44 diamonds is 2.96ct and total weight of the 14 rubies is 2.73ct. Overall diamond quality is G/H color and VS1-2 clarity. OHB serial numbers and design cues as well as IRID. PLAT.(for Iridium Platinum) are stamped on the inside of the ring shank. Ring size is 6 3/4. Gross weight 16.65 grams.
