This very well crafted Mid-20th century cocktail ring is fabricated from 18k yellow gold and platinum. It is bezel set at the center with one vivid and bright natural ruby, weighing exactly 1.01ct and with eighteen brilliant cut diamonds weighing exactly .56ct. Diamonds are of overall G color and VS1 clarity. The entire design area of this beautifully executed ring is a lattice work, terminating at the rear with hand engraved motifs. Fine twisted platinum wire edges the lattice work center of the ring and adds an absolute sense of a very high quality to this jewel. Even the outer walls are hand engraved all around. The ring is equipped with a white gold sizing spring to assure that the ring remains in it's proper position during vigorous use. The sizing spring can also be adjusted to make the inside diameter of the ring fit a smaller ring size. Stamped on the sizing spring are 18k, R 1.01, Rothschilds 56 , DW (presumably for the maker) and IR/PL indicating Iridium Platinum. Ring size is 6 1/2. Gross weight 9.40 grams.
