This unique Late-19th Century, Victorian period 18k gold, pendant is beautifully crafted with carbuncle and half pearls. With a total height from the very bottom to the top of the bale of 2.75 inches, and a width of 1.5 inches, it is impossible to overlook when worn. At the center are three garnet carbuncles topped with one half pearl each, surrounded by a smattering of of antique rose cut diamonds set in the rays of gold star motifs. The overall look is ideally representative for the period. There are no markings but testing assures that the pendant is 18k gold. Gross weight 26.20 grams.
