A little mixture of ancient meets modern in this gorgeous 18K yellow gold necklace featuring a 15mm X 16mm pear-shaped Tanzanite. The richly colored center stone is surrounded and accented by diamonds set into a fluted gold plate. This vivid Tanzanite has a blue color with subtle purple undertones and weighs 16.38ct. The design incorporates approximately 1ct of baguette cut diamonds as well as approximately 3.5ct of round brilliant cut diamonds, for a total weight of 4.51ct. The centerpiece is connected to an Etruscan style "wheat" cable necklace measuring 6mm thick, with beautifully detailed stations, and a clasp set with cabochon rubies and sapphires. Overall length is 17 inches. The reverse of the plate is stamped 750 indicating 18K gold, as well as 16.38 for the weight of the center stone, and 4.51 for the diamond weight.
